Oh, Christmas Tree! Oh, Christmas tree!

We're going to get a Christmas tree!!

Last weekend, we drove over to the Fish River Christmas Tree Farm to cut down our Christmas tree. Shay was VERY excited. He loves all things Christmas, especially the trees and lights. He couldn't wait to have his very own Christmas tree. The farm was really neat...they had a train, Santa, and they had real reindeer!

Shay was Daddy's big helper and he enjoyed pushing the wagon all over the place.

We kept asking Shay which tree we should get and he would immediately point to the closest one and say, "Dat one!"

Apparently, this was the best place for him to watch Daddy.

So we got a little excited about our first Christmas in our own home. We ended up with a 9 1/2 foot tall tree! It didn't look that tall on the farm without a ceiling and walls around it. But, it's a beautiful tree and Shay loves it. The things we do for our kids!

Shay gets ready to walk down the aisle. In order to get him to go all the way, we gave him this extra rose and told him to "Bring this to Mommy." He did what he was told and made it the whole way!

Uncle Mike's groom's cake was a "tractor cake" according to Shay. It had a tractor on it in honor of his landscaping business and Seamus was a little obsessed. "Someone" got a little too close to the cake and took a sample before it was even cut. Who could that be?

Shay was very excited for his big trip to Colorado. Uncle Mike was getting married, so we flew out on Wed. afternoon and met the family out there for the big day. Seamus loved flying on the airplane and he was so good for the entire trip. Mommy was REALLY hoping to see some snow on this trip...it's been too long since she's seen the snow and Shay hadn't experienced snow yet. We woke up on Thurs. morning to a dusting, and it ended up snowing the entire rest of the day!!

The rehearsal dinner was at Jack Quinn's Irish Pub. We had a great time and it was so fun to see the family all together!

To Shay, this hotel was like Disneyland. Between the Christmas trees, the fireplace, and the glass elevators, he kept Nona and his aunts/uncles very busy!

On Friday, we had some time to kill before the wedding festivities, so we headed to The Garden of the Gods. It was a neat park with beautiful rock formations!

The boots were not made for rock climbing, but Shay didn't seem to mind.

Shay fought his nap for a long time, but he did manage to fall asleep shortly before we had to leave for the wedding. I had a hard time getting him to stand still for a picture in his tuxedo.

On Saturday night, there was a Festival of Lights Parade in downtown Colorado Springs. Shay loved seeing the firetrucks all decked out in Christmas lights and he enjoyed the music by the marching bands!

**We know a bunch of you wanted to see wedding pics. We didn't take too many pictures at the wedding and reception. As soon as we get copies from siblings, we will post more! The wedding was beautiful and we had a great time. Congrats, Mike and Lizzie!!

Gobble, Gobble!!

Happy Thanksgiving! We celebrated down here in Alabama with a bunch of our friends, had a great time, and ate WAY TOO MUCH! Seamus was definitely ready for Thanksgiving this year, although we had a hard time turning his "Happy Halloween" into "Happy Thanksgiving". Here are a couple pictures and video of him helping to make the sweet potato casserole and the green bean casserole.

Mouth wide open. She's talking already!

We had our ultrasound today and the Doctor says everything looks great. Baby Girl Hilleary is weighing in at 10oz. and is very active. We are still on target for our due date, April 3rd. Shay went to the ultrasound with us and he was really fascinated by seeing his baby sister and hearing her heartbeat. Hopefuly he will be just as fascinated in April when she arrives!
