Magic in Lights at Bellingrath

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

This year, we decided not to get a tree because we are heading up to spend Christmas in Virginia. BUT, Daddy knew how much Mommy missed not having one, so he surprised us and brought home this little guy! Shay's first Christmas tree!! He's actually more interested in the tree skirt, than the tree itself. Daddy also brought home a candy cane for Shay to try. We wanted to just give him a taste, and he would've eaten the whole thing if we let him! The Moose wasn't too happy when we took it away!

Happy Birthday, Bren!

Saturday was Bren's 29th birthday and we had a little get together here at the house.

Merritt helped him blow out his candles. Josie kept Tom entertained by reading him a story. Santa's elves put on a show for us. Unfortunately Shay was a little too tired from the day to stay up, but he did make an appearance later on to see Pat and Jill.

Yes, Mobile! There IS a Santa!

It's a bird...it's a plane...it's.......Santa in a Coast Guard helicopter?! That's right! This past Saturday was the Airstation Christmas party and every year, Santa arrives in style. You didn't know Old St. Nick had ties to the Coast Guard, did you?

Shay had a great time at the party hanging out with all his pals. Here he is taking a walk with Luke.

And he's a sucker for Josie's curls, as is everyone around town!

Shay's New Favorite Thing

We found this thing a while ago for Seamus...it has a mesh pouch on the end of a plastic handle, that you can put all kinds of food in for them to try. The mesh doesn't allow big pieces to get through so that the babies don't choke. Shay loves it when Daddy puts an ice cube in there...he goes to town!

A Birthday Party!!

Seamus attended his first birthday party this past Saturday. Our buddy Luke Williams turned 7 years old, and had his party at Doodles (a paint-it pottery studio). Shay had lots of fun but was more interested in "eating" the paint rather than "painting" with it...so Mommy finished the project and Shay supervised!

On Sunday, Daddy had to leave for another business trip, but before he left, the boys had plenty of time to wrestle!

Here are a couple of pictures and videos of Shay, hanging out the day after Thanksgiving. He received his first Thanksgiving card from his Aunt Lisa! Thanks, Lis! Seamus is also talking a lot and copying what Daddy and Mommy do!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Seamus celebrated his First Thanksgiving yesterday, and he had a great time! We had dinner with Zach, Becca, and Corbin Glass, Mr. and Mrs. Fox, and James (Becca's family). Seamus sampled mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, and pumpkin pie. Not a big fan of the first 2, but of course he loved the pie! Hope you all had a wonderful day! We are very thankful for all of you, our family and friends.

The Moose Stands Alone

No longer an eyesore!!

The landscaping is finally complete! To the right is a picture of the
house when we moved in. After MANY hints being dropped by the neighbors, and once the weather was cool enough, we got to work! Now we just have to keep it all alive! What do you think "EMP Landscaping"? Would you hire us?

Moose Sightings

We've been busy landscaping our yard this weekend. Seamus was a "big helper" and enjoyed watching Papa using all sorts of tools. He also likes to sit o the tailgate and drink out of Brendan's big cup.

Seamus is 7 months old today! He is growing like a weed and moving all over the place. He wants to walk so badly, especially when he sees other kids running around. This past week, we had our friends Gene and Michelle McGuinness come for a visit. Shay loved all the extra attention he was getting!

Trick Or Treat

What a busy day we had!

We hadn't carved our pumpkin yet, so Daddy and Seamus quickly did that before the trick or treaters came.

We went over to our neighbor's house for dinner, and then the kiddos got in costume. Here's Shay with his girls, a flower and a ladybug!
