Seamus Says...

This is what Seamus does as we walk through the stores. We think he'd make an excellent Wal-Mart greeter!

Happy Easter!!

It was my first Easter, and what a day I had!! I had my FIRST Polish kielbasa for breakfast! It was delicious! Boy am I glad to be Polish!!

We got all dressed up and went to see Jesus!

After Mass, Mommy let me look through my Easter basket!

I always give tastes to Daddy and Mommy.

Before Mommy had time to react, I discovered that this bunny was actually made of CHOCOLATE!! The foil didn't taste very good, though.

Daddy and I practiced blowing bubbles while we waited for our friends to come over! I'm a big boy now!

Is it time to eat, yet?

My aunties love to hold me, but now that I'm a big walker, I just want to be put down!!

I hope that all of you had a very Happy Easter!!

Top O' The Mornin' To Ya!

Seamus would like to wish all of you a very Happy St. Patrick's Day!

"Read my shirt and give me some sugars!"

Shay prepares to eat his very first Shepherd's Pie!!

Sending you all warm wishes of corned beef and cabbage...from our house to yours:)

NOLA or Bust!

On Saturday, we drove over to New Orleans to visit our friends (and old Hawaii neighbors), Oly and Sirkka. We had a great time hanging out with them and their pups, Mac & Grayton.

Sirkka and Shay pose in front of the Saboe's VERY cute house. If you're moving to Louisiana and looking to buy, their house is for sale!

Anybody looking for a couple of monkeys?

Shay tries to escape a "drive-by" kiss from Mac.

We caught the tail end of the St. Patricks Day parade that afternoon. In New Orleans for St. Patricks Day, they throw beads from the floats, but they also throw cabbage, carrots, potatoes, and bars of Irish Spring Soap! We got a cabbage!

After the parade, we went and got gelato! Mmmm! Shay enjoyed his tasty treat, but he also enjoyed walking around and greeting other customers!

Feeding the Geese

It was another nice weekend here in Alabama. On Sunday, we decided to take dinner to the park and then feed the geese on the pond.

Seamus was way too distracted by the sounds of the seagulls and geese. So all we could get him to eat were a couple of crackers!

Daddy and Shay call out to the birds and lure them in with the bread we brought.

Here they come!

Before we knew it, we were surrounded!

This guy was NOT crazy about sharing the bread with ANYONE!

"Sorry, guys! Dinner is over. It's all gone!"

There goes the sun. What a nice day we had!

Eating our way through Mobile's Botanical Gardens

Yesterday we decided to enjoy the beatiful weather here in Mobile. We ended up at the Mobile Botanical Gardens and Shay really enjoyed being able to walk around and explore.
He loved the waterfall and watching the fish swim around below.

Walking back and forth to each side of the bridge...this kept him entertained for quite a while.

Seamus found a pretty red flower on the ground...

...and of course he had to taste it!

And of course we had to take it away, poor guy!

He was relieved to find out that we had brought his Cheerios!

He was even willing to share with Daddy.

He was still determined to get his hands on another flower.

Maybe next time!

Let's Go Swimming!

Seamus is really enjoying his swim lessons. Here are a few more pictures and a video of this past Saturday.

"How did we get ourselves into this?"

" Look how strong I am, Dad!"

"Oh it's COLD!!"

Home Improvements

We've been taking advantage of the cold and wet weather we've been getting, to do some projects around the house. Shay has been a big "helper", and is VERY curious about Daddy's power tools and ladder. Now that he is walking, we have to watch him like a hawk!

" I'm ready! What can I paint?"

Gotta taste the brush BEFORE we put paint on it!
