April was a busy month for us with Easter and 2 birthdays to celebrate! Here are a few pictures of what we did to celebrate!
Malia's birthday was the day before Easter this year. We took the kids to the beach for the day and then Malia got her first "taste" of birthday cake!!
We gave her a good 15 minutes with the cake before salvaging some for the rest of the family to enjoy. Shay was getting a little anxious about there being any left for him. At first Malia wasn't sure what to do with it. She kept giving us a look as if to say, "Are you sure this is ok?" After the first dainty lick off of her finger, she decided to just go for it face first.
We went to Mass on Easter morning and by the time we got home, Malia was exhausted. She was a good sport to sit still for a couple pictures! (notice Shay's choke-hold)
One week later, it was time to celebrate Shay's 3rd birthday. This year he wanted a pirate theme. We had a pirate party at our house with a bunch of his friends and he had a great time!
A good friend of ours gave Malia her "First Birthday Dress". It made Daddy a little sad to see his princess growing up so fast!
We sent the kids on a treasure hunt with clues hidden all over the house. It led them to the treasure chest pinata.
Malia just watched the action from a distance.
