This past Sunday, we spent the afternoon down at Dauphin Island with some friends. The weather was perfect and the kids had a great time catching hermit crabs and splashing around in the tidal pools. For Shay, this was his first visit to the beach since he started walking. He wasn't too sure about walking on the sand at first, but he quickly got the hang of it. He was all smiles at the end of the day after watching airplanes, helicopters, kites, and many birds flying overhead, and just exploring a totally different environment.
Shay loves riding in Daddy's truck. He caught a quick nap on the way down there.
Bren brought his boogie board with us. Shay enjoyed going for rides in the tidal pool.
Shay loves to share things with everyone. He shared MANY fistfuls of sand with us that day!

Shay met a 6 week old Basset Hound on the beach. The puppy was having a great time nibbling on his fingers but Shay did not seem to mind. He LOVED that puppy!

Michelle, he's so cute! He looks so big and grown up for 13 months! And, I wish I had just bought one of those Britax seats at the beginning with all the different seats we have ended up buying! :)Great pictures! Oh, and you look great, too....very happy and content!

Looks like Shay and Nicholas have had lots of fun on beaches on totally different sides of the country! He is too cute!
