4th Annual Hot Air Balloon Festival

This past Saturday, we went to a hot air balloon festival in Foley, AL. It was a very hot day and they were predicting thunderstorms for the afternoon, but we decided to chance it. Because of the looming storms, they weren't sure if the balloons would end up flying that night. The weather held off and we had a great time!

If you've read the past posts, you would know that Seamus has a love for tractors. They had an antique tractor display at the festival, so as you can imagine, Shay was in Heaven!! He ran from one to another, pointing, and yelling, "Tractor!"

"Can we keep this one?"

The boys check out an old John Deere.

In the Children's Village, they had set up an "Alabama style" petting zoo. How's this for a family Christmas picture? Shay wasn't scared, but the reptiles didn't quite hold his attention.

Seamus jumped right in there throwing balls around like the big kids.
It was really hot so we decided to take a break from the festival and get something to eat. When we came back, this is what we saw!!

They were giving tethered rides to people, but the lines were long and Shay was tuckered. We'll save it for next year!!
