Change of plans...

Well, from the beginning of this pregnancy, there have been a lots of changes to our plans. So why would the end of the pregnancy be any different?? Shortly after the New Year, I had another visit to the Dr. and they decided to perform a repeat ultrasound. In the previous one, they had seen that the placenta was low lying and they wanted to make sure it had moved. Well, we found out that this was not the case and in fact, they were going to have to operate to get the baby out. Our Dr. here in Ecuador was concerned for the safety of the baby and I, and encouraged us to consider returning to the US for the delivery. So, within less than a week, we got orders and hopped on a plane to head back. We had no idea what to expect over the next several weeks or exactly how long we'd be there. It turned out to be an enjoyable 3 months with family and friends. We were there for cousins' Birthdays, Baptisms, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, and Shay and Malia's Birthdays as well! We even had a visit from our friends, Lindsay & Kyleigh all the way from CA.
Here are a few pictures from the first few weeks...

The morning after we flew in, we woke up to SNOW!! The kids were very excited.
