One Saturday morning back in November, we decided to go for a little hike in nearby Parque Metropolitano. This park is huge and when you look at a map of Quito, you will see that it covers a large area to the East of the main city. It is a forest of all different kinds of Eucalyptus trees and has many different playgrounds and hiking trails. One thing we were not expecting to see on our hike was a herd of Llamas...but we did!

Malia really wanted to pet one, of course. But the llamas wanted no part of that!
